Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2017 population of 1,981 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

Are You Interested in Conservation and Recreation?

The Town of Verona Open Space Commission is seeking individuals interested in participating in helping to identify, protect, and preserve natural areas in the Town of Verona for the purpose of ecological health, recreation, and enjoyment by present and future generations.

This involves the promotion of land conservation, water quality improvement, and recreation opportunities. The Open Space and Parks Commission meets monthly for approximately one and-a-half to two hours.
