Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2017 population of 1,981 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

Annual Budget Hearings Coming Up Nov. 12th

Have you ever been curious about the Town’s budget? Come and learn about the priorities and goals for 2014. A public hearing on next year’s general fund budget will be held at 6:30 PM on November 12th.

Immediately following the discussion of the general budget, a public hearing will be held on the budget for the Town’s sewer district which is in need of increased maintenance.

County Road PB Update

It is anticipated that the project will be complete in early November. October 9th is the tentative start date for the milling and paving on CTH PB and M “urban curbed area” located south of the intersection, and October 11 the intersection and area north of the intersection being done. The road will be open to traffic at the intersection and north, the milling and binder paving in this area will occur on the same day. Surface pavement will be placed at a later date. Pulverizing and paving of the rural areas will likely occur right on the heels of this work, depending upon the status of the bridge completion.
