Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2017 population of 1,981 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

2015 Honor Ride Madison

On June 20, 2015, participants of Madison Honor Ride will be coming through our community.  The event is hosted by Ride 2 Recovery (more information: https://ride2recovery.com).  Bicyclists will be on roads in our area between 8 AM and 4 PM.

Road Closures

The City of Verona in conjunction with the Department of Transportation are enlarging the Park and Ride on Old County Road PB.  A segment of Old PB and Maple Grove Drive will be closed beginning Monday, April 13, 2015.  It is anticipated that the project will be completed in May of this year.  Please see the map below for details.

Total Votes for the Town of Verona

The Town of Verona reports 503 total votes. Two (2) outstanding Absentee Ballots and zero (0) provisional ballots at the close of the polls on April 7, 2015.

Survey: We Would Like Your Input

At the end of 2014, the Town Board authorized the purchase of approximately 43 acres of land for the purpose of building a new Town Hall and Public Works facility.  The Town held a public discussion of the new site and building plans on February 23, 2015 and those comments and opinions in turn affected the current design.  The Town now needs your further input by completing a brief online survey on or before 2:00 PM, April 24, 2015.
