Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2018 population of 1,982 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

Results of Survey Regarding Recent Town Property Purchase

The Town concluded its collection of responses for the paper and online survey at the end of business hours on Friday, April 24, 2015.  We had 386 respondents to the survey; many thanks for your participation.  The results were discussed at the Annual Town Meeting held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015.  It will serve as a guide for the Town Board as they make decisions about how much acreage to retain from the total 43 acres that was purchased in 2014.  Responses to the survey and individual comments are contained in the document below.  Please note that 5 is strongly in favor, whereas 1 is strongly opposed.
