Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2017 population of 1,981 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

Construction of Epic’s Campus 5 is well underway.

Rock blasting is scheduled to start on the Epic site the week of March 13th

and last for 6-8 weeks.

 

The blasting times are typically Monday – Friday at approximately

11:30am and 3:45pm.

The Town of Verona reports 225 total votes.

There were zero (0) Provisional Ballots at the close of the polls on February 21, 2017.

Monday – Feb 20th at 6:30pm Dane County will

hold a meeting related to the comprehensive revision of their zoning code. This will be a committee meeting held at the new town hall, but the public is welcome to attend. The topic will be potential changes to the Rural Mixed (A-2, A-3, A-Ba) and Rural Residential (RH) Districts. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m.

A possible quorum of the Town of Verona Board of Supervisors, Plan Commission and/or Public Works, Ordinance, Natural and Recreational Areas, and Financial Sustainability Committees could occur at this meeting.

The meeting is being held at the Town’s new facility located at 7669 County Highway PD Verona, WI.

SPRING PRIMARY – Election Day is Tuesday, February 21, 2017

  • All Town residents vote at the new Town facility in the Community Room located at 7669 County Highway PD  Verona, WI.
  • Polls open at 7:00am and close at 8:00pm.
  • Voter ID is required to vote (At the Polls and Absentee).  Please visit www.bringit.wi.gov for more information on Voter ID.

ABSENTEE VOTING

  • Request a ballot by mail by 2pm Thursday, February 16, 2017.
  • In-Person Absentee Voting ends Friday – February 17, 2017 at 5:00pm.
