Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2017 population of 1,981 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

Gentle Reminder – 4th of July Fireworks Display applications due before the end of this week.

Applications must be submitted at least 10 days prior to the requested date (s) for consideration by

Verona Town Chair Mark Geller.  The hours of usage of fireworks are limited to 9:30am to 10:30pm

on the day of permitted use.  A permit card will be issued and shall be prominently displayed at the site

of the permitted activities at all times.   The Town will forward a copy of the permit to the Dane Co. Sheriff’s office, City of Verona Police Department and the Verona Fire Department.
