Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2018 population of 1,982 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

Notice is given that a public hearing will be held at a meeting of the

Town of Verona Board of Supervisors beginning at 6:30 p.m. on October 2nd, 2018 at

Verona, WI 53593

For the purpose of receiving comments on

The Updated Town of Verona Comprehensive Plan.

 

 

A copy of the draft plan which has been fully updated is available at www.town.verona.wi.us/land-use/comprehensive-plan-document/ . A hard copy of the plan is also available at the Town Hall for review. The Plan addresses issues and policies related to housing, transportation, utilities and community facilities, agriculture, natural and cultural resources, economic development, land use and intergovernmental cooperation.

 

The Town Board will consider action at the conclusion of the public hearing and make a recommendation to Dane County. Interested persons may submit comments in writing or speak at the public hearing. Comments and questions should be forwarded to:
