Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2018 population of 1,982 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

2019 Town Board Levy Approved

The qualified electors who attended the November 20, 2018 Special Town Meeting and Public Hearing for the 2019 Town of Verona budget approved the proposed levy amount of $1,092,334.  This will result in a local mill rate of $3.754799 per thousand dollars of assessed valuation.  By comparison, last year’s mill rate was $3.791201.
