Natural and Recreational Areas Committee

On February 2, 2016, the Town of Verona Board adopted a Resolution to create the Natural and Recreational Areas Committee to replace the Open Space and Parks Commission (OSPC).  Natural and Recreational Areas Committee (NRAC) is similar to a work group in that it will look into issues and advise the Town Board. The NRAC may choose to take on projects (to be approved by the Town Board) or be assigned projects by the Town Board.  There is also an expectation that the NRAC will advise the Plan Commission on land use proposals that may have an impact on or create an opportunity for open space preservation. In 2016, the Plan Commission will  update the Town’s Comprehensive Plan, seeking input from the NRAC.
