The Town of Verona is
located in the
southern part of the state of Wisconsin. As a local unit
of government within the County of Dane, the town is
on the southwestern edge of
the state
capital – Madison – The population
is 1,.948
The Town of Verona Utility District #1 consists of properties located on
the east side of the township. The neighborhoods of Goose Lake, Wendelwood
and Hillside Heights as a part of Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District
"Central Urban Service Area" obtain municipal sewerage services. The
Town Board serves as the District's Commissioners and provides governance of
the entity. Budgets are created, approved annually and the service fee
for each user is established. Properties are billed quarterly for the
service and citizens have the option of making payment on an annual basis to
help maintain administrative costs and keep them to a minimum.
The
Commission meeting is held annually in November
for the purposes of approving the following year's operating budget
(2011) and for
the purpose of establishing user fees
