citizens. Please

meals delivery program.
The Town has completed
it's arrangements with
the County of Dane and
is now a part of the
Belleville Senior Citizen Programs for
case management. |

ROAD CLOSED - when this

minimize risk to
citizens, Town employees
and contractors approved
to perform road repairs.

The town road crew
members will perform
various road way
maintenance to include
spring road side clean
up, repair of divots due
to winter snow plowing,
roadside mowing to
consist of a first pass
by Memorial Day and
follow-up mowing as the
summer growing season
progresses.
Patching of pavement
will take place as
needed. An
emphasis this summer
will be improvement of
roadside ditches to
ensure the efficient
flow of spring and
summer rainfall.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION
2010
|

With the passage of the
2010 budget - the Town
Board has
prioritizing public
works projects for the year. Asphaltic overlays,
crack filling and seal
coat applications are
road treatment processes
provided by independent
contractors. The
routine maintenance such
as shouldering, brush
and tree trimming are
performed by town staff.
A focus in 2010 will be
management of storm
water. Ensuring
that road culvert
crossings and proper
ditch line maintenance
are free of debris ensures
that the water flows
away from the road
surface and shoulders
into the ditch lines and towards the rivers and
stream beds as nature
intends. |

dates are February 16,
April 6, September 14
and November 2. The Town
Board appointed the
Town Elections Board at
the December 2009
meeting. Citizens
of the Town of Verona
can request to serve on
this Board and the
training for these
positions is ongoing. |
