Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2017 population of 1,981 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

Open Book and Board of Review Scheduled

The 2014 Assessment Roll has been delivered to the Town of Verona Office at 335 N. Nine Mound Rd and is available for public review during regular business hours: 9 AM-2 PM, M-F (closed May 26, 2014 in observance of Memorial Day). Our Assessor Paul Musser held scheduled Open Book meetings on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 5:30-8:00 PM and will meet with others who schedule appointments on other dates. The Board of Review is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2014 starting at 6:30 PM. Please notify the Clerk on or before Tuesday, June 3 on or before 6:30 PM if you intend to file an objection for the Board of Review to consider. It is preferred that you submit completed objection forms (including your calculation of the value of your property in question) by the deadline above so the Assessor can adequately prepare in advance; however, completed objection forms can be submitted as late as 8:30 PM on June 5, 2014.
