Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2017 population of 1,981 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

Sewer & Water Services

Portions of the Town of Verona are  included in the Town of Verona Utility District #1 (Central Urban Service Area), and are served with public sewer by the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District.  This Utility District includes properties in the following subdivisions;  Hillside Heights, Louis Hoffman Estates, Wendellwood, and Pleasant Acres #1 & 2.  Properties are billed in advance a sewer service charge on an annual basis.

The remainder of Town residential properties are served with on-site sewer treatment systems (private septic) and regulated by Dane County Environmental Health.

Water service for all Town properties is  furnished by privately owned wells.
