Post Flood Update as of Friday the 24th

Closures – Fitchrona Road, Highway G, and Highway 69 are all still closed. Highway G and Highway 69 have damage that could leave them closed for a while.

Sandbags – Dane County provided the Town with sandbags today. We have placed a dozen filled ones and several empty ones by the salt shed at Town Hall (7669 County Highway PD). It’s first come, first served if you’d like these. If you’re in a situation in which you need more, please call the Dane County Public Safety non-emergency number at 267-3913. They have our Road Patrolman’s number and can mobilize him and emergency services if needed.

Trash – As you can imagine, our trash contractor, Pellitteri Waste Systems, is working very hard with several communities to provide trash hauling after the floods. Please be patience if your trash pick-up is delayed on Monday. If your trash does not get picked up for some reason, please call Pellitteri directly at 257-4285. Also if you need special pick up of flood damaged items, please coordinate pick up with them.

Assistance – Dane County is advising residents who need assistance to call 2-1-1, and they can connect you with resources. They are also using that number to track flood damage totals.
