Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2017 population of 1,981 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

On April 7th, 2015 there will be an election held in the Town of Verona for the offices of Town Chair, 1st and 2nd Supervisors currently
held by David Combs, Robert Rego and Gregg Miller.  All three have declared their intent not to seek re-election.

If you are wanting to get on the ballot for the 2015 Spring Election you will need to start circulating nomination
papers between December 1, 2014 and January 6, 2015.

The number of signatures recommended for Town offices is 30 in case that there are some deficiencies that would disqualify.
All signatures need to be verified by the Clerk. Please refrain from obtaining more than the required amount of signatures.
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER:
Monday, December 1, 2014 First day to circulate nomination papers
Friday, December 26, 2014 Last day to file notification of non-candidacy
Tuesday, January 6, 2015 Last day for candidates to file Nomination Papers, Declaration of Candidacy and
Campaign Finance Registration Statement. (5:00 p.m.)

Nomination packet may be picked up at the Town office.
