Open Book and Board of Review Scheduled
The 2014 Assessment Roll has been delivered to the Town of Verona Office at 335 N. Nine Mound Rd and is available for public review during regular business hours: 9 AM-2 PM, M-F (closed May 26, 2014 in observance of Memorial Day). Our Assessor Paul Musser held scheduled Open Book meetings on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 5:30-8:00 PM and will meet with others who schedule appointments on other dates. He can be contacted at (608) 712-0236 to answer questions and/or to schedule a time to meet.
The Board of Review is scheduled for Thursday, June 5, 2014 starting at 6:30 PM. Please notify the Clerk on or before Tuesday, June 3 on or before 6:30 PM if you intend to file an objection for the Board of Review to consider. It is preferred that you submit completed objection forms (including your calculation of the value of your property in question) by the deadline above so the Assessor can adequately prepare in advance; however, completed objection forms can be submitted as late as 8:30 PM on June 5, 2014.

Town Selling Ford 550
The Town of Verona is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of a 2008 Ford 550 with 9ft Western plow and Swenson spreader. Axel weigh is 17,000 lbs. and the truck has approximately 43,000 miles.
The minimum bid considered will be $28,000. Bids will be opened at 1 PM on Friday, May 30th. Send bids to Attn: Truck Bid, 335 N. Nine Mound Rd., Verona WI, 53593. Town Board authorization of the sale will take place at approx. 6:45 PM on June 3rd. The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any bid. Possession of the truck can be taken on Friday, June 6th.
