Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2019 population of 1,998 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

Town Office Closed Monday, September 3rd. Trash Pick-Up Delayed One Day

The Town of Verona will be closed on Monday, September 2nd, in celebration of Labor Day. 

Trash pick-up will be one day later than usual. 



No Trash or Recycling Pick-up on Labor Day


We will be closed on Monday, September 2nd, in observance of Labor Day.

Residents will be serviced one day later than their normal service day. Monday routes will be done on Tuesday, Tuesday routes will be done on Wednesday, and so forth for the entire week.

Residents normally service on Friday will be serviced on Saturday, September 7th.

Since collection routes may be serviced differently, your pick-up time may be altered. As always, please make sure to have your carts out by the time designated by your community (click here for more information).

Property Assessments – Many of you have been following the process of our Interim Market Update.

The Board of Review met last night to judge appeals of some of the property assessments, but there were remaining questions regarding a few properties.  It was decided to not accept the assessment roll as complete and to adjourn the Board of Review until September 25, 2019 at 6:00 PM.  The Assessor plans to mail new notices to certain property owners by August 16, 2019 and to hold a second Open Book session to answer questions on August 28, 2019 from 4-6 PM.  If you still have questions about your property assessment, you can all the Assessor at 920-719-1995.
