Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2019 population of 1,998 and is part of the Verona Area School District.
Absentee Voting:
To request a ballot be mailed to your home, please visit the MyVote website (https://myvote.wi.gov). You may be required to submit photo identification with your application.
Please visit the “Bring it to the Ballot” (https://bringit.wi.gov/) web site for information on photo identification.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is April 1st.
Town of Verona Early Voting Options:
In person absentee voting will begin on Tuesday, March 23rd and go through Friday, April 2nd from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Hauling permits are required year round for the following roads for loads over 5 tons per axle or 10 tons for any two truck axles that are under 8 feet apart:
Additionally, the hauling of heavy loads is prohibited on the following roads from approximately March 1 to April 30 (the Town Road Patrolman can suspend the ban when he feels the threat to the roads is over):
