Town Board Chair Mark Geller Declares a State of Emergency
Town Board Chair Mark Geller has issued an Emergency Declaration as state, county and local governments continue to coordinate communications and responses to the spread of COVID-19, commonly known as the Coronavirus. The declaration comes after the March 15th 2020 directive by Public Health of Madison-Dane County to close all area schools, place limitations on restaurants, theaters and other public gathering spots, and to restrict any events over 50 people from occurring.

- On March 15, 2020, the County issued a county-wide order to close schools and stop gatherings of 50 or more people as of March 16, 2020 at 12:01 am to mitigate the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). This order will continue until further notice. Please see the news release for more information. The County has also posted answers to possible questions about this order and will be adding more over the next several days.
