Town Board
The Town of Verona Board of Supervisors is made up of five elected Town citizens. The Town Board regular meeting day is the first Tuesday of the month. (excluding holidays and the election calendar) Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. Town Board agendas will be posted here a few days before each Board meeting. Agendas are also published in the Verona Press and posted at Town Hall, Millers, and the Verona Public Library.
Plan Commission
The Plan Commission is charged with managing growth and development in the Town by drafting and maintaining the Comprehensive Plan and acting on requests for rezonings and lot splits.
The Commission is comprised of two (2) town board members and three (3) citizen representatives. Following the spring election, commission member appointments are nominated by the Town Chair and approved by the Town Board. Any citizens interested in serving on the Town of Verona Plan Commission should contact the Town Chair by mid-April of each year.
Plan Commission meetings schedules are established annually and the second Thursday of the month is the normal meeting day. Meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
Committees
The Board appoints citizen commission members to various committees (Public Works, Financial Sustainability, Ordinance, and Natural and Recreational Areas). Should town citizens have an interest in serving on any one of the commissions, contact Mark Geller, Town Chair at 845-6805.
