As a preventative measure in our attempt to keep the older adult population well and avoid exposure to the COVID-19 virus the Sugar River Senior Center will close for all non-essential services effective Monday, March 16 until further notice.
The services that will continue are congregate meals, home delivered meals, case management services and driver escort services.
The congregate meal site will remain open as of now, but will close by directive of Dane County. If the congregate meal site closes those who attend will be offered a home delivered meal.
Since the home delivered meal program and driver escort service depend on volunteers, the Sugar River Senior Center will allow them to determine if they will continue volunteering during this time.
Senior Center staff will take over delivering meals if it is needed.
The Case Manager will remain in contact with clients via phone and ensure your needs are being met.
This closure will be reassessed week by week and decisions made based on the impact the COVID-19 virus is having at that time.
