Established in 1847, the Town of Verona is a local unit of government within the County of Dane in the southern part of the state of Wisconsin. The Town is on the southwestern edge of Madison — Wisconsin's State Capital. The town of Verona has an estimated 2019 population of 1,998 and is part of the Verona Area School District.

Learn how to control bleeding in emergency situations with training from Dane County Sheriff’s office.

Stop the Bleed instruction is designed for individuals with little or no medical training who may be called upon as immediate responders.

Dane County Sheriff’s Office will teach participants how to provide initial care and bleeding control to a victim of traumatic injury before skilled help arrives or in an austere environment.


Online registration is required and limited to 40 participants. This program is free and open to the public.
