Town of Verona Weekly Update April 14, 2023

The Annual Town Meeting will take place on Tuesday, April 18, in the Town Hall Community Room at 7:00 p.m.  The agenda may be found here.

The Natural and Recreational Areas Committee will meet on Tuesday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m.  The agenda may be found here.

The Finance Committee is meeting on Thursday, April 20, at 2:30 p.m.  More information may be found here.

The Verona Senior Center is hosting an Outreach Event for Town Seniors on Tuesday, April 18, at 2:30 p.m. at Town Hall.  Case Managers from Verona Senior Center will be available for group and one-on-one discussions outlining services available to Town Seniors.  More information is available here.

Road Construction Updates

  • County Highway PD - A Two-Week Road Impact Look Ahead map may be found here.  Information on the Blasting zone is available here.
  • WisDOT Project - US 18/151, Mount Horeb to Madison – The Westbound US 18/151 outside lane closure from West Verona Avenue to Town Hall Road is scheduled to switch to an inside lane closure today, April 14. The Eastbound US 18/151 outside lane closure from County Highway ID to West Verona Avenue is scheduled to switch to an inside lane closure on Tuesday, April 18.

Extreme Fire Danger Conditions

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has issued a Red Flag Warning due to especially dangerous wildland fire conditions.  The DNR prohibits burning with DNR-issued burning permits during these conditions.  Additional information is available here.
