One Day Delay for Trash and Recycling Pick-up the Week of Christmas and New Year’s Day
Pellitteri Waste Systems will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. As a result, service will be delayed by one day the week of December 25th and the week of January 1st. Your Friday service will take place on Saturday both weeks. Please check their website for any delays or closures due to inclement weather. You can also sign up for email alerts.
Tax payment invoices have been sent. You can also review/print your invoice on Access Dane.
PAYMENT OPTIONS – In Person, Drop-off or Mail: For all methods, please include the remittance portion of your tax bill for all payments. Make checks payable to: TOWN OF VERONA
TO RECEIVE A RECEIPT: Send a stamped, self-addressed envelope along with the remittance portion of your tax bill and payment. E-Receipts are available online through the Access Dane website. Payments made to the Town are updated on Access Dane two times: mid-January and mid-February.
ESCROW CHECKS: If paying with an escrow check, please make sure you have properly endorsed the check before submittal. The Town will not endorse an escrow check back to the taxpayer.
IN PERSON: 8 am- 2 pm Weekdays. Please bring your tax bill. Credit card and electronic payments are accepted for a fee. If paying in cash, please bring the exact amount of the First Installment or the total amount due.
DROP BOX: A locked drop box is located in the Town Hall vestibule on the right hand side of the wall. It is accessible 24 hours/day.
Payments dropped off or postmarked by December 31st will be marked as paid in 2023.
$25.00 CHECK DEPOSIT RETURN FEE: This fee will be applied to any returned checks.
DELINQUENT PAYMENTS: If taxes are paid after the due date, penalties and interest will be due on the unpaid portion. Interest is applied starting February 1st. Please contact the Dane County Treasurer for more information at 608-266-4151.

Local Campaign Registration Information
Candidates may begin circulating nomination papers on December 1, 2023.
Deadline to submit nomination papers is January 2, 2024 by 5:00 pm.
Following the submittal of all forms to the Clerk’s Office, the forms will be checked for validity. Candidates are strongly urged to obtain more than the minimum number of signatures required for ballot status in case a deficiency is found with any signatures. If a potential candidate does not submit all necessary forms and an adequate number of nomination signatures by 5 p.m. on January 2, 2024, their name will not be placed on the ballot.
Plastic Bag Recycling Bin at Town Hall
The receptacle is for any plastic (bag) that you can stretch with your thumb. Harder plastic bags, such as pet food bags, are not accepted. Thank you.
