In Person Absentee Voting – Spring Election

In person absentee voting for the April 4 Spring Election began on Tuesday, March 21 and will continue through  Friday, March 31.  Absentee voting will be conducted during regular office hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  There is no voting the day before the election.  Additional information may be found here.

Road Construction Update

  • Country View Road Closure – The road will be closed on the north end starting at 9:00 a.m. Friday, March 24 and will re-open by approximately 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26.  A Two-Week Road Impact Look Ahead map may be found here.
  • Blasting will continue to take place M-F at 3:00 p.m. along the south side of County Highway PD east of the current Country View Road intersection.  Blasting will continue through approximately May 31.  Additional information is available here.

2023 Dog Licenses Due March 31

Residents owning dogs five months of age on January 1, 2023, or five months of age within the license year, are required to pay the dog license tax and obtain the license tag annually.  The deadline to obtain/renew dog licenses is March 31, 2023.  After that date, a $5.00 late penalty will be applied.

The 2023 Dane County Dog License Application may be found here.  Please note that proof of rabies vaccination must be included along with the application.  Writing in the expiration date is not sufficient; a copy of the vaccination certificate from your veterinarian or a screen shot of the document on your phone are acceptable.  Licenses will not be issued without this proof.  If you apply for the license by mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope to send the tag.
