Town of Verona Weekly Update March 17, 2023

The Town of Verona is hosting a public Sustainability Forum on Tuesday, March 21, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  Additional information is available here.

In Person Absentee Voting – Spring Election

In person absentee voting for the April 4 Spring Election will begin on Tuesday, March 21 and end on Friday, March 31.  Absentee voting will be conducted during regular office hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  Additional information may be found here.

2023 Dog Licenses Due March 31

Residents owning dogs five months of age on January 1, 2023, or five months of age within the license year, are required to pay the dog license tax and obtain the license tag annually.  The deadline to obtain/renew dog licenses is March 31, 2023.  After that date, a $5.00 late penalty will be applied.

The 2023 Dane County Dog License Application may be found here.  Please note that proof of rabies vaccination must be included along with the application.  Writing in the expiration date is not sufficient; a copy of the vaccination certificate from your veterinarian or a screen shot of the document on your phone are acceptable.  Licenses will not be issued without this proof.  If you apply for the license by mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope to send the tag.

Road Construction Update

North Country View Road, just south of CTH PD, will be temporarily closed for utility construction Friday, March 24 – Sunday, March 26 and will reopen on Monday, March 27.  More information on Epic-related road construction in the Town of Verona may be found here.
