Subdivision & Land Development

The subdivision and development of land typically involves the creation of a Certified Survey Map, Plat, and/or a rezoning. All of these processes are regulated by Dane County but involve Town approval.  The Town of Verona Comprehensive Plan guides all potential development within the Town. 

Additionally, much of the Town falls within either the Extraterritorial Jurisdiction of the City of Verona, the City of Madison, or the City of Fitchburg. Approval from these jurisdictions may be required for the subdivision of land within these areas.
